Lampi, tuoni, al chiaro di luna. In un luogo abbandonato, un baule si apre; dentro la marionetta Peregrin. Pare addormentata, ma le palpebre si spalancano. Lì, fra le sue mani, un vaso di vetro. Dentro, un piccolo pesce rosso cresce e cresce fino mandarlo in frantumi. Ormai gigante porta Peregrin in viaggio sul suo dorso e la vita scorre senza preoccupazioni. Sarà tutto vero? Musiche inedite muovono i fili di un'opera lirica ispirata alla favola di Tom Siedmann-Freud, la nipote di Sigmund.
